Intro to The Walk in the Dark

Below, you can find an intro to my new book, "A Walk in the Dark: A Guide to Finding Your TRUE LIGHT."

This book truly is designed to help lower the mental suffering we experience on a human consciousness level.

Introduction

What is it about the dark that we, as humans, fear? What does it represent? What metaphors does it represent?

When I was a little boy growing up in Melrose Park, I remember being afraid of the dark. There was something about the night that freaked me out. I never knew what it was.

My poor mother would have to tend to me at night as some nights were too overwhelming for me to handle.

I was that boy who needed a hallway light, a light within my room and could never have it too dark. I always thought, growing up, this was something I would never stop fearing.

I wondered if I was the only one. I asked if, I was the only kid who was afraid of the dark.

Growing up in the society that I was raised in, showing fear or emotions was frowned upon. It was a sign of weakness. So, I had to figure this stuff out on my own. Not fun for an 8-year-old boy.

I had heard stories of kids talking about monsters underneath their bed or someone in their closet. For me, I couldn’t tell if it was my imagination or what I was picking up on, but the dark truly brought upon things I couldn’t comprehend and only opened up the door to more fear.

How many of you have feared the dark? Not in the sense of what I am sharing above but using the dark as a metaphor for uncertainty? The unknown?

Isn’t life like walking in a dark cave, never knowing what you may experience at any given moment?

As Tony Robbins has talked about, there are six essential needs all humans have. What I find interesting is, uncertainty is one, not many enjoy. Uncertainty is the one thing many avoid. And yet, we do all that we can to have certainty in our life. But, what if life was never meant to be predicted? What if life was never meant to be known what each step would be? Would that change the way we see life and experience it?

As I didn’t know as a little boy that eventually, I wouldn’t be afraid of the dark nor be fearful of going to sleep at night, it finally did happen. Now, I embrace the dark. I appreciate the dark for through the darkness, I have found my most magnificent light.

In this book, my central vision is to share with you how the dark molds you and shows you the beauty of what you already contain within: Your TRUE Light. This light is the one thing that only exists within you, and there is no other soul in the entire multiverse (multiple universes) that is identical to yours.

This is why the prime creator, God, Universal Intelligence, the label doesn’t matter, created you. It was out of need rather than a desire.

In my short 35 year journey in life, I have seen more people dim the light within them. They shun it away and trade it for something else less than their potential.

My primary purpose is to show you how the Universe always WORKS FOR YOU and how you can start to appreciate the light you have within. For Lord knows, we need your light to shine bright. Without this light shining bright, the world and everyone inhabiting this world loose out on the glory that you would bring to it all.

And to take it one step further, all the souls and the entire Universe loses out on this growth and expansion also.

I hope this doesn’t put pressure on you. The key is to have fun, but I PROMISE through this book, you will see the glory and all the hints that the Universe gives to you, to help you find your TRUE light and allow for you to shine bright.

Remember this: Stars cannot be seen unless they have a black backdrop to be viewed upon. The darkness is what gives way to the light.

This book will take you on a walk in the dark and learn how to appreciate the darkness and love upon the darkness. The darkness has many names, and for the sake of keeping things simple, I just coined it the dark. Many have called it, “The Shadow of the Soul.” Law of duality will state, if you have light, you also have darkness.

As I had written in my first book, “Rediscover Your Greatness,” this book is designed to be a guide. Something that you will read, pick up, and come back again to. Take your time and enjoy the process, the journey, and the walk in the dark…
